Today for Hispanic American Heritage month we are honoring Linda Ronstadt. Linda Ronstadt is a Mexican American singer, songwriter, and producer. She has won many awards in her career  including 13 Grammy's. She is also an activist for migrant worker rights. She was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has received a Hispanic Heritage award.

Today's the day! Homecoming is TONIGHT! Today is your last chance to buy tickets. Tickets are on sale at lunch for $3 or $5 at the door to the dance. We can't wait to see everyone there! Glow big or glow home. Reminder:

This is not a semi formal event and please be aware that it is outside.

Minnechaug's High School Democrats of America chapter is back and looking for new members. If you're interested in learning more about politics and want to be involved in local and state wide political issues, then reach out to Mr. Griffith. Meetings are Tuesday or Thursday after school in B260. Hope to see you there!

Hey Minnechaug there's a new club, and it's all about you! Need a space to decompress and take your mind off your responsibilities? We know that things can get overwhelming at times. It's okay to take a break and we are here to help you start. All About You Club's goal is to normalize prioritizing yourself. Come join us after school TODAY in B131.

Guess what Minnechaug? It's time to start thinking about winter! If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding you should totally sign up for the Snowboard Club. Yes, we welcome skiers too! Mrs. Demico will be after school in the cafeteria next Tuesday 10/12 if you are interested in signing up or want more information. Make sure to reserve your spot before sign ups open on October 17th. Space is limited so don't miss your chance to join us!

If you're interested in debate or public speaking, the Model Congress team is looking for you! Our team meets every Wednesday after school in B202 to debate controversial issues and discuss plans for the year. Every year the Model Congress team competes against other schools at the AIC Model Congress competition in January. The top prize is a full scholarship to AIC! Please see Ms. Pitcher if you have any questions.

Do you like to dance? Is music something you've always loved? Do you hear the call of the stage? Color Guard might be for you. Practices at Minnechaug will be taking place outside the Band room after school every Tuesday. Let's get spinning!

A college representative from the following colleges will be visiting Minnechaug in the next couple of weeks. Please stop in the counseling center and sign up to visit with the admissions counselor.

Minnechaug's Video Game Club meets every Wednesday and we're looking for new members! Come join us virtually after school every Wednesday from 3-4PM. Video Game Club is a great place to not only play awesome video games with cool people, but a place to get more involved in your school, and meet people who like the same things you do. You don't even need a gaming console as we always have at least one game that you can play with just your mobile phone or Chromebook. If you're looking to get involved with the club, please visit Mr. Bullard or scan the invite code outside B107.

Student Activities fees are now being collected. The fee is $40 and it is an annual one-time fee. Once paid, you can be a member of as many clubs as you would like. Please stop by Student Activities with any questions or for a list of clubs/activities and to pick up a form. All forms and fees are due by Friday, October 1st.

Start your year off with a great routine. Studying and completing assignments is easy this year with the new IRC extended hours. The IRC is open Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm and Fridays 7 - 3. After school please sit at the seats that have a green numbered sticky. Students planning to use the IRC during lunch should come to the IRC BEFORE going to the cafe. IRC first, then lunch. We hope to see you this year for research support, reading materials, and perhaps more!
