Teaching & Learning at MRHS

MRHS is a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive learning community where all students are challenged to grow intellectually and develop the skills they need to engage in a participatory democracy and thrive in a global economy.

The instruction at the school emphasizes inquiry, problem-solving, and higher-order thinking skills as an important part of teaching and learning activities. Advanced Placement courses are offered in art, history and social science, mathematics, science, English, music, foreign language, computer science. Students also have the opportunity to conduct, analyze, and present independent research through the AP Capstone program.

Students also have the ability to enhance their educational opportunities 

through internships, career and technical education, as well as online and dual enrollment courses.

The World Language Department strives to cultivate and nurture an

understanding of the role world languages play in our global society. Our department aspires to create the conditions for meaningful and functional interactions that support the linguistic and cultural growth of our students. The study of World languages facilitates an appreciation for our collective diversities and empowers students to become effective communicators who are world-ready.
